Samer Hashmi a jack of all trades as they say; An Architect by profession, an enthusiastic Designer, Painter, Educator & Lifestyle Medicine Coach.
Samer graduated in Architecture from the National College of Arts, Lahore, in Year 2002.
She was on the college honors list and her thesis was a design of an “Eco-Tourist Resort” in one of the most pristine islands of the Indus Delta, Pakistan. Her area of expertise was sustainability & protecting the environment by using natural & energy efficient building materials.
She worked freelance with an ad agency and designed multiple sets for the television (2005-2010).
Soon after, she developed great interest in teaching kids through project based learning techniques, and did a series of workshops at Faiz Ghar (Art & entertainment cultural center), for over 8 years. Through an interactive hands on learning methodology, she taught children Art, Geography and conducted numerous Science experiments & magic tricks! The children she says, are her driving force for the work that she did. Samer currently also works with the underprivileged children of the Akhuwat foundation.
With changing & challenging times of this new modern age, she felt a dire need of learning to build oneself; which was through Physical health, Emotional health & Spiritual health.
She completed a successful workshop in year 2019, on ‘Lifestyle Medicine” conducted in Pakistan, in collaboration with the Harvard School of Lifestyle medicine, USA.
This was a life changing experience for her, and it is when she decided to dedicate her life towards “Healing others”. Lifestyle medicine continues to give her deep meaning and satisfaction in her life.
Samer is also a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and working as a volunteer towards healing lives.
Currently she is studying Masters in Nutrition, from UK s leading College in ‘Naturopathic Medicine”.
She also holds responsibly of being the Information Secretary of the ‘Pakistan Association of Lifestyle Medicine’.
