Dr. Antonio Monteiro
Dr. Antonio Monteiro dos Santos is a California and Brazilian Licensed Psychologist, who holds a Ph.D. from International College, Los Angeles-USA in Clinical Psychology and Organizational Development and Post-Doctoral degree in Psychopharmacology from Alliant University in San Diego-USA. He is an international member of the American Psychological Association-APA, Co-Director of the Carl Rogers Annual Conference and PCP Academy-La Jolla, CA, and President of the International Institute for Mindfulness Inner Peace-IIMPAZ, Brazil. He worked directly with Dr. Carl Rogers, was a visiting professor at the University of Vienna, and worked as a psychologist at USCD, San Diego, CA. His forty years of experience as a psychologist help him develop a psychological protocol for pre and post-surgery to help the patient cope with stress, develop a positive mindset, and cultivate healing emotions. Dr. Santos’s book on the healing moments of psychotherapy explores the importance of the relationship between doctor and patient as an essential element to healing. His research into the power of silence led him to spend from one day up to three years in silence. His interest lies in helping people to awaken their inner strength and power based on their inner wisdom. He is a student of life-style medicine, and his interest in it is related to happiness, healing, and wisdom, helping patients actualize themselves.
